The Galaxy Buds 4 Pro, Samsung's latest flagship earbuds, are suffering a critical widget failure when paired with Google Pixel smartphones. Users report that the home screen widget, a key feature for quick controls, is unresponsive or fails to launch the Galaxy Wearable app.
This issue affects the Buds 4 Pro specifically, marking a regression from previous generations that had limited but functional cross-platform support. The problem appears to be widespread, with multiple users on Pixel 10 Pro devices confirming the bug.

For users who own both a Samsung earbuds and a Pixel phone, this bug removes one of the most convenient features. Without a working widget, adjusting noise cancellation, equalizer profiles, or checking battery requires opening the app manually — a two-step process that many find cumbersome.
The failure also raises questions about Samsung’s commitment to cross-platform compatibility. While the Buds 4 Pro excel when paired with a Galaxy phone, their value proposition drops sharply for the growing number of Pixel users who previously relied on Samsung hardware.
“If this isn’t fixed soon, I’ll have to consider switching to Pixel Buds or another brand,” said Maria Lopez, a long-time Galaxy Buds user who recently purchased a Pixel 10 Pro. “I love the sound and fit, but a broken widget is a dealbreaker for daily use.”
